Sprint’s Sharp Aquos Crystal to Sweep You off Your Feet

Aquos cellphonesSharp’s first U.S. Aquos-brand smartphone has been launched and is available on the Sprint network now. The phone may not boast an abundance of jazzy specifications but is extremely elegant. The beautiful edge-to-edge screen looks very beautiful and evokes a delightful user response. The phone displays a 5-inch screen and weighs 4.9 ounces. However, it is still not as thin as its specifications make it appear. Also, the LCD screen of the phone has 1280×720 resolution and the phone is indeed thicker than Apple’s iPhone 5S.

Once you have taken a look at the stunning screen, it becomes crystal clear that the Sharp Aquos Crystal is an attractive LTE smartphone. The 8-megapixel main camera and 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera simply doesn’t have a lot of gee-whiz features and therefore the camera specifications do not seem to appeal to the new generation.

The operating system used in the phone is Android 4.2.2 (KitKat), which yields a great user experience. The back of the phone is beautifully curved and is made of hard plastic. For the graphic freaks, the handset promises a slot for a micro-SD card to upgrade the storage space. The weird part in this small machine is that its battery is not removable, which is a rare phenomenon among Android phones.

aquos-crystal-smartphoneSome extremely useful as well as likeable features have been included in this handset by Sprint and Sharp. For instance, you can capture a screenshot of any page such as the home screen, running applications, the browser etc. by simply maneuvering your finger from the upper left hand corner diagonally on the screen. The image thus captured instantly gets stored in the gallery from where you can access it and share it ahead. Adding to the delightful features of this really smart gadget is a feature with which the phone can be put to sleep with a shake and can be woken up by sliding your finger up from just below the bottom edge of the screen. Such great features that require you to simply swipe your fingers across the screen do save the time wasted in clicking and accessing folders to complete a task.

Samsung Unveils Plans to Launch 3-Sided Smartphone

samsung smartphones

Despite the growing dominance of the Xiaomi, Samsung continues to maintain a healthy lead in the Smartphone world. Xiaomi fever may be upon us, but their chief rival Samsung is not standing idle. According to a report on CNET, Samsung is preparing to release its three-sided smartphone in the second half of next year.

If the LG’s decision to put volume control buttons on the back of its Smartphone was a little baffling to you, then Samsung’s 3-sided Smartphone may just blow your mind. This upcoming 3-sided Smartphone screen will utilize a plastic substrate that is limited in quantity. And if released by the end of this year, it will most likely be finite to Korean audiences. Unlike other smartphones with curved screens such as LG G Flex, the patented prototype has a convex shaped display screen.

A three-sided display phone just might be what Kim Hyeon Jun, executive manager at Samsung’s Wireless Business Division, had been foreshadowing during Samsung’s second-quarter earnings conference call. “While I cannot mention specifics, we are planning on unveiling an innovative large-screen flagship model, an attractive phone that takes advantage of cutting-edge materials,” he said.

Its extra display screen space will be used to display the charging meter, bookmarks, and other important information. Most importantly, the extra space on the edges will be touch sensitive, letting users access multi-touch quick actions and resizing/reimagining the slide-to-unlock gesture as side-mounted. So far Apple, the technology giant, is the only Smartphone maker that’s using 64-bit chips, but Samsung is set on joining the party.

Kyushik Hong, vp of marketing for Samsung’s LSI business told CNET that Samsung is “very actively working” on 64-bit right now.’ The European version of the Note 4 will feature Samsung’s new Exynos 5433 chip, while the North American, Korean, Chinese and Japanese market will get a Snapdragon 805 processor.

Rumors say the new three-sided Smartphone will show its multiple faces either by the end of this year or in the second half of the next year.

LG Officially Announces its Flagship Smartphone “LG G3”

LG G3 Flagship Smartphone

On Tuesday, at an event in London, LG officially announced its flagship Smartphone, the LG G3. But, some international websites have killed the suspense of its features by publishing the device specifications before its release. This device is a mainstream Smartphone with a Quad HD display screen, which has a 2,560 x 1,440 resolution for a pixel density of 538 ppi. Although it’s generally accepted the human eye can’t detect or recognize improvements in pixel density above 300 ppi on a Smartphone, one of the LG executives insisted that the improvements can be apparent through the naked eye. The LG G3 comes with some major upgrades that make it different from last year’s model.

LG G3 Sleek Smartphone

Display

The display is the mirror of every Smartphone that keeps it in the front row. Without display, we can’t talk about the design features of mobile technology. This year, LG highly concentrates on the ppi pixel density and finally gave birth to LG G3. This new device, with it’s 5.5 inch display, features rear buttons and extremely small bezels all around.

Camera – Sharpshooter

lgg3mos4_052814112334

The LG G3 retains the G2’s 13 megapixel camera and optical image stabilization, but has been upgraded with the same OIS+ system that is on the G Pro 2 phablet. It has a white dual LED flash similar to the one found on the HTC One M8 and iPhone 5S, which promises to produce more bright colors and skin tones.

Sleek Design

The most interesting part of the LG G3 design is the choice of multiple colors that is available to users. The volume keys are again situated on the back of the handset, which is not surprising.

Accessibility and battery life makes this phone one of the best new phones in the market. For more information, visit http://bit.ly/1hgaJ5s
