What is Proof of Eligibility?
In order to qualify to receive the Lifeline Federal subsidy which is what provides your free wireless plan, you must be in a low income household.
You can qualify as a low income household by showing proof of income. Your income for the entire household must be at or below 135% of the Federal Poverty Level in most states (some are 150%).
You can also qualify based on your current enrollment in a government assistance program like Food Stamps (SNAP), Medicaid, SSI, etc. Qualifying programs are listed here.
To prove that you are enrolled in the program, we'll need to see your award letter, or a snapshot of your program card (like the EBT card, or Medicaid Card). You can find a list of acceptable Proof of Participation documentation here.

Lifeline Plan

Your free wireless minutes are provided by the Lifeline program. Lifeline is a Federal assistance program funded through the Universal Service Fund.
